Jim & I went to a little kick-off event for a new curriculum
in Mia’s class on Friday afternoon. Since Jim was home early, we all went to the
pool and Friday evening. The kids ate dinner by the pool and we stayed until
Emma said she was done!
Mia and Jim found a cicada shell on Friday and they have
spent a lot of time online learning about these bugs and out in the yard
looking for more. But do they really
need to bring them into the house?
Jim and Mia plated her bean stock that she grew in school. I’m
pretty sure it’s not going to live very long in the Texas heat, but it’s worth
a try.
Play-doh time for Mia when it's nap time for Emma & Julia
Heading back from the pool hand in hand
Sunday morning play time
Mia played dress up an the neighbor’s on a play date on
Sunday morning.
It’s mid-July and it could be a lot hotter in Austin than it
actually is. On Sunday afternoon it was so cool that we opted for the zoo
instead of the pool.
Julia is getting really close to being brave enough to feed
the deer.
Emma is standing safely a few feet away with her hands on
her back.
