Happy 4th of July

Day 4 (Thursday) – All of us headed to the 4th of July parade organized by our neighborhood. There was lots to look at; a fire truck, a police car, lots of kids and dogs dressed in their 4th of July outfits.  But the best was the snow cone and the end.

It was my first 4th of July in the US since I became a US citizen in 2010 and the 1st for all the girls as well.

Snow Cones for everyone!!

Mia has been going to swim class 4 days a week for the past 4 weeks.  She loves it!  I normally don’t take her to class because it’s all handled by the school, but on the 4th, Chad and Jim took her.  She has made some great progress since she started and we have signed her up for the rest of the summer (6 more weeks).

We all headed to the pool in the afternoon, with dinner for the kids and drinks for us at our local watering hole and then had a nice dinner at home after the kids were in bed.
