Our midwife came to weigh the girls for the last time when they turned 7 weeks (July 12th). Emma weighted 4,060 grams and Julia weighed 4,200. So, Julia now actually weighs more than Emma. In the past 3.5 weeks, Julia has gained an average of 300 grams a week. Normal weight gain is between 140 – 200 grams. Emma is gaining weight at a more normal pace and averaged 166 grams per week. We’re going to the pediatrician next week for their 2nd month check-up. The 7 week picture looks very similar to the 4 week picture. Julia is screaming and Emma is sleeping!
