We’re finally moving into our apartment today. It will be nice to finally start getting settled. Jim is there right now as our US shipment is arriving. Mia and I are still at the hotel as we would just be in the way.
German apartments normally don’t come with a kitchen, lights or any closets. This one has a kitchen, but we have bought about 15 ceiling lights that our election is installing today. We are going to IKEA on Saturday to buy some closets – I don’t think the Germans have heard of a walk-in closet. We still don’t have any mirrors or lights over the sinks in the bathrooms – more shopping to do this weekend. Here are some pictures of our new apartment before we move in. You’ll have to wait a few weeks for more pictures until we get everything in order. Our first guests, Niklas, Elin and Lovisa are coming in less than two weeks – so we have a lot of works to do.
We’re at the top floor of the building, so we have a lot of leaning walls. It will be a challenge to furnish the place.
