The Turnip's first sonogram at 7 weeks and 1 day. We saw the heartbeating which made us unbelievably happy and was an incredible relief of stress. A rutabaga is also known as a Swedish turnip or just simply a Swede. Since our baby is also a Swede, Jim has named it Turnip for now. 
The Turnip is measured from head to rump at the two crosses labeled as "1" above. The circular region to the left of the leftmost "1" is not the head as it appears, but the yolk sac.
We are not sure what most of this means, but the Turnip's due date is December 5th and the Turnip's length is 11mm (7/16").
